MicroFile
File Types & Sizes Available
Hedstrom Type: #8 - #40
K-Type: #6 - #25
The
microFile is a standard endodontic instrument whose shank has been modified to form a typical "dental angle" for easy access to the canals of the teeth.
- Stainless steel file
- 22mm length
- 18mm of fluted cutting surface
- Designed exclusively for use with the endoHandle
"Microscopic Endodontics" has a Better view with the endoHandle/microFile System. A "two-finger" grip on the file blocks the view. The
microFile lets you see more!
Technique:
- Small tight canals are easily worked with the endoHandle/microFile system.
- Small diameter canal - Begin with a #6 K-file for 30-60 seconds then change to the #10 Hedstrom
- then back to the #6 K-file.
- 30 seconds of continuous working file is the same as 2 minutes of finger held
(stop and adjust the grip every 10 seconds routinely)
- Use the largest file that goes to full working length with almost no resistance.
- A slightly loose fitting file in the canal can be worked in circumferential direction of the canal wall.
- The endoHandle gives the file increased leverage against the canal walls.
(this incrementally increases the canal diameter)
Small Size Filing Defines the Natural Canal Path!
The best way to prepare the "Path" is the endoHandle / microFile System!
